Jaclyn Verzuh '19, Caitlyn Lee ’19 and Annette Garwec ’20 all represented the Women's Ultimate Frisbee team at the National Girls and Women in Sport Day clinic hosted by the Dartmouth College Athletic Department. Around 200 girls, ages 7-14 came out for the 2.5 hour event.
"It was fun and rewarding to share ultimate and our love of sports with so many young women. Sports have been such an important part of my life, and I love to see young women excited about running around and learning. Sports can be a really powerful and empowering experience for girls. As they say, “You can’t be what you can’t see,” so I hope that in addition to our enthusiasm at the clinic, we could give these girls at least a day of female role models in sports."
