Men's Fencing National Champs

The United States Association of Collegiate Fencing Clubs (USACFC) 2012 National Championships took place in Hartford, CT at the Connecticut Convention Center the weekend of April 14 & 15. Since the Championships' inception in 2003, Northwestern has won the men's team gold four times. This year, Dartmouth College brought home the men's team gold for the first time in our history. Thirty-three men's teams competed in this year's Championships.

1 Dartmouth (Epee 3rd - 290, Foil 3rd - 290, Sabre 6th - 255) = 835

4 Northwestern (Epee 1st - 320, Foil 7th - 240, Sabre 9th - 205) = 765

The men's epee squad consisted of Adam Omar '15, Dave Seliger '12, and Peter Horak '14. Tianchi Xu '12, Stuart Ghafoor '14, and recent epee-to-foil convert, Scott Brookes '14, formed the foil squad; and Tommy McQuillan '13, Nate Utterback '14, and Ivan Antoniv '14 made up the sabre squad.
